Founded in 1992 by Artist and Historian Akinsanya Kambon and Tamasha Kambon, the Pan African Art Gallery has long served as a cultural space dedicated to African-centered artistic expression and historical preservation. Re-established in 2024, the gallery now operates with a renewed focus on safeguarding and presenting the extensive works and archives of the Kambon Estate.
The gallery houses a significant body of work including ceramics, drawings, paintings, and historical materials that reflect decades of artistic practice and cultural scholarship. Through exhibitions, research, and public engagement, Pan African Art Gallery seeks to preserve this legacy while providing a platform for dialogue around African art, history, and global cultural influence.
Our mission is to inspire curiosity, encourage deeper appreciation for the arts, and promote cultural and historical understanding of African traditions worldwide. By connecting past, present, and future generations through art and education, the gallery stands as a living archive of creativity, scholarship, and Pan-African cultural heritage.
